Our Awards

We are proud that we have been given the following awards:

Activemark 2007

Schools will receive the mark if:

  • the percentage of pupils participating in at least 2 hours high quality PE and school sport each week is significantly above the national average
  • they held a sports day; and
  • they had met or bettered the national average for pupils involved in sports leadership and volunteering (this would not apply to infant schools), or, the percentage of pupils participating in sports clubs linked to their school.

CAT Mark

The CAT mark is a stamp of approval for young people’s services. It is awarded by young people who have been trained as CAT-mark assessors. They assess services, organisations and projects against the following set of conditions:

  • involving young people
  • the safety, security and well being of young people
  • equal opportunities for all young people
  • links to other services
  • environment and resources
  • availability of support

Being awarded a CAT mark shows a commitment to providing a good quality service, which successfully meets the needs of all young people.


FMSiS

The Financial Management Standard in Schools (FMSiS) is intended help schools to evaluate the quality of their financial management and helps train staff to become better financial managers. The standard is a statement of what a school that is managed well financially would look like. It sets out its requirements under the following five sections:

  • Leadership and Governance
  • People Management
  • Policy and Strategy
  • Partnerships and Resources
  • Processes

Healthy Schools

We are proud to have received the UK government's Healthy School's Award. This is part of a long-term initiative that recognises and promotes the link between good health, behaviour and achievement.


Reading Connects

Reading Connects encourages schools to build whole-school reading communities and offers teachers the opportunity to become part of a network where member schools can share their ideas, experience and expertise in developing a reading culture.
