North Baddesley Infant School Parent Council
Meeting Minutes:
Our Parent Council was started during the Autumn term of 2006 to enable the school and parents to work in closer partnership. Its main aim is to sustain and continue to improve the quality of care, learning and teaching for all our pupils. By providing parents a forum to express their opinions and to make suggestions we aim to break down barriers to communication. Parents are able to comment on aspects of school life that have been successful for their own family and can offer ideas for new activities or ways to improve existing routines.
During the council’s time, the issues raised have included: improvements to the reporting system, canvassing parents about the timing of Celebration Assembly, reviewing the school questionnaire responses, improving the layout of letters sent home, contacting the police about parking issues, arranging for a new notice board in playground and the "What you said/What we did" speech bubble display.
Meetings are held during the school day on the Community Room - all parents welcome! Times and days are varied to enable working parents or those with younger siblings to attend meetings whenever possible.
If you are interested in joining the Parent Council, or have an issue you wish to be raised please mention it at the school office or speak to Mrs Chambers, Headteacher.
Yours sincerely
NBIS Parent Council
